Michael Singh is Managing Director of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy. A former senior director for Middle East affairs at the National Security Council, he has written extensively on Iran, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and U.S. national security strategy. At the White House, Mr. Singh was responsible for devising and implementing strategies on a wide range of Middle East issues, from efforts to prevent Iran’s acquisition of nuclear weapons capability, to the Arab-Israeli peace process, to promoting human rights in the region. As the Washington Institute’s managing director, Mr. Singh conducts policy research and participates in the public debate over the direction and content of U.S. Middle East policy.
